European Village Watermelon Festival 2026: what to expect

The Watermelon Festival is a free, outdoor summer kickoff in the heart of Palm Coast — built around food, drinks, music, and the local market businesses you already know from Sunday. Here's the working plan and what to know before you go.

The basics

  • When: Sunday, June 7, 2026 (working date), 10 AM to 4 PM
  • Where: European Village, 101 Palm Harbor Pkwy, Palm Coast, FL 32137
  • Cost: Free admission planned
  • Format: Outdoor festival with 40–60 market businesses, music, family activities, and shopping

This is being run as a special event by Palm Coast Farmers Market — a single Sunday-scale festival on top of the regular Village Open-Air Market footprint, with a wider activity slate built specifically for the day.

What's planned for the day

Three big activity lanes are being built out:

Food, drink, and watermelon-themed specials

The planning target is 40–60 market businesses across food, drink, gifts, music, outdoor products, and family activities. Approved food and beverage participants are encouraged to put a watermelon-themed special on their menu for the day.

Shopping, family, and outdoor areas

Art, gifts, plants, outdoor market businesses, face painting, pet adoption, wellness demos, and a food drive are part of the working activity inventory. Approved partners and activity hosts will be named once cleared.

Music and entertainment

Performers and activity timing should publish through the update list once the schedule and QR destinations are approved. Expect schedule notes and market business highlights as event day gets close.

Going as a family

Free admission, all-day format, food, music, family activity zones, and a shopping district that's already proven on Sundays. If you've been to a Sunday market at European Village, picture that — but with a watermelon theme stitched on top.

Pet policy needs operations sign-off before it's published as final. Check the update list before event day for the call.

If you're a market business

Festival participation is on a special-event application path that's separate from the regular Sunday market. The review covers category fit, setup needs, permits, insurance where applicable, and public listing consent. A festival approval doesn't auto-unlock regular Sunday booking — those are reviewed separately.

The full participation path, the FAQ, and the join CTA live on the Watermelon Festival page. Watermelon-themed specials are encouraged.

If you're a sponsor

Title, presenting, community partner, and activity sponsor placements are being organized. Early sponsor interest is open while final pricing, logo placement, claims, and outbound offers stay approval-gated before publication. The sponsor inquiry form is on the festival page.

What to do now

Three things, in order of how much they help:

  1. Add it to your calendar. Working date is June 7, 2026 — claim the morning before something else fills it.
  2. Join the update list. Final schedule, parking, weather, and partner highlights all go through the update list first.
  3. If you're a maker, start the festival market-business application — review takes time.
